Chester-East Lincoln wins place in state playoffs
 

[February 08, 2015]  LINCOLN -  C-EL Panthers advanced to Boys 7-1A Basketball State Championship play-offs this week.

In first round play on Friday Chester-East Lincoln won over Sidell Jamaica 41-18 advancing into state semi-finals (18-2) for the season.

In semi-final play, Pontiac St. Mary's (23-0) narrowly beat out C-EL 35-32.

The Panthers now (18-3) play Bloomington Cornerstone (16-4) for state third place this Thursday, Feb. 12, 6 p.m. at St. Joseph, MS.
