Services for Mary will be Tuesday, February 10,
2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln with Rev. Robert Ervin
officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Ridge
Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday, February 9
from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials
may be given in her name to the American Cancer
Society.

Obituary
Mary L. Gupton, 96 of Lincoln died at 1:03 p.m.
February 3, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital,
Springfield.
Mary was born December 24, 1918 in Rural Menard
County, the daughter of Alva J. and Hazel Warren
Lloyd. She married Garland Gupton April 7, 1946 in
Middletown. They were later divorced.
Mary is survived by one son: John E. Gupton and wife
Aurea of Muskego, WI and one grandson: Nathan A.
Gupton. She was preceded in death by her parents and
one brother: Alfred Lloyd. |
Mary was a typist and accountant for the State of
Illinois, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the
First United Methodist Church of Lincoln; the
Lincoln Elks Lodge #914; Retired Teachers
Association and the Illinois State Retirement
Association.
Services for Mary will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015
