[February 10, 2015]  LINCOLN - Annalene Simons, 73, of Lincoln, passed away at 8:32 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by her family.

Visitation: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home

Service: 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

LINCOLN- Annalene Simons, 73, of Lincoln, passed away at 8:32 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by her family.

Annie was born September 22, 1941, to Clarence and Isabelle Melton. She married Jerry Ray Simons. He survives.

She is also survived by her four children: Richard Simons of Pflugerville, TX; Barry Simons of Lincoln, Suzy Jones of Hartsburg and Angie (Scott) Taylor of Forrest; seven grandchildren: Larry Jones, Anthony Jones, Sheina Taylor Vaughn, Christopher Jones, Jayse Taylor, Faith Jones and Sasha Taylor, five great-grandchildren: Hailey, Colton, Zayne, Brian, and McKenzie, and her brother: Duaine Melton of Emden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt Goldie, and her sister-in-law, Kay Melton.

 

Annie was a wonderfully loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed more than words can express. She loved spending time with her family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, fishing, supporting her family in general while loving unconditionally.

Services for Annie will be 1:00 p.m. Friday February 6, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
