[February 12, 2015]  LINCOLN - On Tuesday, the Lincoln College Men's Volleyball team dropped another home match. The Lynx were unable to avenge an early season loss to the Hannibal-LaGrange varsity team. LC went down in straight sets 20-25, 17-25, 19-25. Lincoln is now 9-6 on the year.

LC Stat totals:

Adam Krzos 7 kills, 3 points
Wes Higgenbotham 4 kills, 4 blocks
Lukasz Kupiec 21 set assists, 5 points
Alex Robles 6 kills, 2 points
Alec Esparza 9 digs, 3 points
Manny Benitez 5 kills, 1 block
Brandon Anderson 3 points

LC Coach Mark Tippett: Our inexperience really showed in this match as we made several errors that are typical of all freshman teams. We made too many mental errors and were too slow on defense to keep up with our oppinent's attack. Our team is young and we are going through some growing pains right now, but we definitely have the athletes and the skill to keep up with varsity programs, we just need to work better as a team. I look forward to practicing today and a better effort on Thursday.

Lincoln will host the Quincy University JV team on Thursday at 6:30pm.

Note: Freshman libero Alec Esparza (Blue Island) was named North Region MVP at the MWPVC Regional tournament on Saturday. Esparza helped the team to a 5-0 record at that event and a top seed in the upcoming Region Crossover tournament at SIU-E on Feb. 28th.
