Sharks 4, Coyotes 2
San Jose Sharks coach Todd McLellan joined some rare company as his
team beat the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 on the road.
Right winger Joe Pavelski netted his fourth career hat-trick, giving
McLellan victory No. 300 in his 515th game behind the bench.
Only Bruce Boudreau (Washington, Anaheim) reached 300 wins faster,
accomplishing the feat in 496 games. Even so, it took McLellan a
little longer than he expected to reach the milestone.
The Sharks entered the game on a 1-3-1 skid and Arizona built a 2-0
first-period lead. But Pavelski scored twice in the second period
and right winger Barclay Goodrow netted the game-winner.

Canucks 5, Bruins 2
Shawn Matthias scored the first hat-trick of his career and Radim
Vrbata extended his points streak to eight games as the Vancouver
Canucks defeated the Boston Bruins 5-2 at home.
Right winger Zack Kassian added two assists as the Canucks won
back-to-back games for the first time in nearly a month.

Blackhawks 3, Devils 1
Right winger Marian Hossa continued his red-hot scoring form,
notching his seventh goal in the last four games to lead the Chicago
Blackhawks to a 3-1 home win over the New Jersey Devils.
The Blackhawks came from behind with three goals in the third
period. Hossa scored the tying goal to make it 1-1 early in the
period, before captain and center Jonathan Toews scored the go-ahead
goal. Right winger Kris Versteeg added a late empty-netter.

Blue Jackets 4, Flyers 3 (OT)
Center Artem Anisimov scored in overtime, capping a three-goal
third-period comeback by the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 4-3 home win
over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Anisimov missed two months of the season with a torn arm muscle and
had not scored since Oct. 11.
The Blue Jackets trailed 3-1 midway through the third period. They
had been 0-20-0 this season when trailing after two periods.

Stars 2, Panthers 0
Dallas Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen earned his 31st career shutout
in a 2-0 home victory against the Florida Panthers.
Left winger and captain Jamie Benn and center Jason Spezza scored
for Dallas in the first period as the Stars won their third straight
game.
However, it might prove a costly victory, because the Stars lost
three players to injury -- right winger Ales Hemsky, center Tyler
Seguin and right winger Patrick Eaves.
