Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta will have minor surgery and is
expected to miss four to six weeks, coach Ted Nolan said.
The Sabres revealed the news via Twitter and did not specify the
nature of the surgery Kaleta will undergo. He missed the Sabres' 2-1
loss to the Ottawa Senators on Sunday with a lower-body injury.

The Ottawa Senators signed defenseman Marc Methot to a four-year,
$19.6 million contract extension.
The 6-foot-3 Methot, a nine-year veteran, has 15 goals and 75
assists in 414 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Senators.
Methot, 29, has five assists in 17 games this season, his third year
with the Senators.

The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled defenseman Petter Granberg and
forward Brandon Kozun from the Toronto Marlies of the American
Hockey League.
Granberg, 22, has been held pointless in three games with the Maple
Leafs this season. Kozun, 24, has registered one assist in six games
with the Leafs this season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled forward Marko Dano from the
Springfield Falcons of the AHL.
Dano, 20, has one goal and one assist in eight games with the Blue
Jackets this season. He made his NHL debut Oct. 9 at Buffalo.
