			On Friday, the Lincoln/Logan
County Chamber of Commerce hosted their first Membership Drive of
			the new year.

The chamber has re-defined the structure of its membership to
include membership tiers. The upside of the new program for local
businesses is that any business can be a member free of charge. The
free membership is a basic program with several chamber benefits.

The structure then offers greater benefits through paid memberships.
The tiers are designed with a stair-step of membership fees, with
each tier offering more benefits than the previous one.

Friday at noon, Sorrento’s in Lincoln opened its doors for a free
lunch for local businesses looking to learn more about the new
			Chamber membership tiers.

Led by Nicole Cox of the Chamber, Ambassadors Steve Harvey, Josh
Slightom, Karen Hargis and Roy Logan served as the volunteer
recruiters for the day. Local business owners came in at their
convenience. Each business representative sat down with a volunteer
and enjoyed a free slice of pizza while talking about the membership
tiers, and what would be appropriate for their business.

At the end of the two-hour session, Cox said she was pleased with
how the event had gone. She said that in addition to the personal
visits on Friday, she has received several calls and emails about
the new structure, and that local business owners are responding
			positively.

The chamber will continue to offer these one-on-one free lunch
sessions with the next one taking place on March 13th at the Old
Brickyard Grill and Pub in Mount Pulaski. A third event will take
place on April 10th at the Palms Grill in Atlanta.
