Obituary
LINCOLN-Lauralee Kennedy, 73, of Lincoln passed away
February 12, 2015 at 9:24 a.m. at University Medical
Center, Las Vegas, NV.
Laura was born March 7, 1941 in Lincoln the daughter
of Leon M. and Lucille Kistner Davis. She married
Paul W. Johnson Sr. He preceded her in death in
1964. She later married Paul Kennedy in 1976 and
they were married 38 years. Paul survives in
Lincoln.
Laura is also survived by her children: Paul William
“Bud” (Debra) Johnson Jr of Danvers; Rick Allen
(Angie) Johnson of Heyworth; and Greg David Johnson
(Scott Anderson) of Encino, CA; a brother: William
“Bill” (Marilyn) Davis of Rantoul; Grandchildren:
Tera (Michael) Johnson Swartz; Joel, Josh, Jacob,
Elizabeth, and Calab and Mariah Johnson; and step
grandchildren: Nicole (Chris) Mochel; Brandon (Evan)
Winkler; Anthony Manzella ,Melissa Tapke; five great
grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; Also
her two cats Romeo and Dusty. She was preceded in
death by her father, mother Lucille Kistner Davis

Laura worked as Human Resources Manager at Lehn &
Fink, Lincoln for 32 years before retiring in 1996.
She then worked at Kennedy Budget Counselors from
1996-2013. Laura was a member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church of Lincoln. She enjoyed traveling and all
things west and her time in Las Vegas with her
husband.
Services for Laura will be Sunday, February 22, 2015
at 10:00 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln with Rick Johnson officiating. Burial
will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg, IL.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 21 from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Memorials may be
given in her memory to Humane Society of Logan
County or American Lung Association.
