The Dallas Mavericks handed guard Rajon Rondo a one-game suspension
for conduct detrimental to the team.
Coach Rick Carlisle and Rondo engaged in a heated, profanity-filled
argument over play calling with 8:10 left in the third quarter of
Tuesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Ronnie Price underwent surgery to remove
bone spurs and bone chips from his right elbow.
Price is expected to be out six to eight weeks, the team announced.

The Detroit Pistons signed guard John Lucas III for the remainder of
the season.
Lucas had been playing on two consecutive 10-day contracts, and NBA
rules dictate the Pistons must sign him for the rest of the season
if they want to keep him on the roster.

In anticipation of Kevin Garnett's homecoming game Wednesday night,
the Minnesota Timberwolves released 500 standing-room-only tickets.
The Timberwolves already had added 1,000 seats for the home game at
Target Center against the Washington Wizards.

Longtime TNT reporter Craig Sager is returning to television next
month almost a year after leaving the sideline to undergo treatment
for acute leukemia.
Sager, famous for his flamboyant suits and interviews with San
Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, will work his first NBA game on
March 5 when the Oklahoma Thunder play the Chicago Bulls. (Editing
