It's been a couple weeks since winter decorated like this, making streets hazardous. But this weekend freezing precipitation may return.

The National Weather Service in Lincoln is offering the following forecast for the weekend.

Saturday: Rain, mainly before 3pm. High near 38. East southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Saturday Night: A chance of rain before midnight, then a chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Light and variable wind becoming west 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Sunday: A chance of flurries before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Wind chill values between zero and 10. West northwest wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
