Obituary
LINCOLN-Perry Luckhart, 83, of Lincoln passed away
at 6:45 p.m. January 6, 2015 at Christian Village,
Lincoln.
Perry was born October 22, 1931, in Broadwell, the
son of Rupert and Emma Bohn Luckhart. He married
Shirley Lower August 23, 1953 in Lincoln. She
preceded him in death December 14, 1988.
Perry is survived by his daughter: Pamela (Timothy)
Clark of Lincoln; two sisters: Sharon (Gary) Rohlfs
and Octava (Fred) Augspurger, both of Lincoln; two
grandsons: Sean (Kristen) Clark of Sugar Grove and
Kyle (Jessie) Clark of Lincoln; and five great
grandchildren: Jackson, Andrew, Evan, George, and
Katherine. He was preceded in death by his parents,
wife, four brothers: Leland, R. Wayne, Wallace and
Dallas and two sisters: Roberta and Hilda.
Perry was owner/operator of Perry Luckhart Painting
and Decorating. Perry was proud to have served in
the U.S. Army. He was a member of Lincoln Elks Lodge
#914; Logan County Shrine Club; Constantine
Commandery #51; Knights Templar; Lincoln AF & AM
#210; Mason Lodge #147; Springfield Shrines; and
American Legion Post #263. He was a member of First
United Methodist Church of Lincoln. He truly enjoyed
being with people and found contentment in the
simple pleasures of his life-faith, family and
friends. |
Services for Perry will be Monday, January 12, 2015
at 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of
Lincoln with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Burial will
follow in New Union Cemetery with full Military
Rites accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post #263.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of
service Monday at the church.
Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in honor
of Perry to Logan County Food Pantry or Safe Haven
Hospice.
