Obituary
Patricia Sue Slayton, 71, of Lincoln joined her
beloved husband in heaven on January 6, 2015 at
12:40 a.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 9,
2014 at 11:00 a. m. at Peasley Funeral Home in
Lincoln with Mr. Ryan Edgecombe officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the
service.
Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln
Patricia Sue Cook was born on January 27, 1943 in
Decatur, the daughter of Everett and Esther Bertha
Rostek Karr. She married William Herman Slayton Jr.
on June 18, 1960.
Patricia is survived by her children: William Herman
(Carolyn) Slayton III, Kimberly Sue Lucas and
Shelley Lynn Lemme- Luster, four Sisters: Sandra
Warmoth, Charlene "Angel" (Dennis) Jordon, Karen
(Paul) Hayes and Tammy (Jim) Boose; ten
grandchildren: Amanda Rogers, Vesta Slayton, Ami
Lucas, Krista Slayton Cronin, Thomas Slayton, Scott
Lemme, Stephanie Slayton, Nolan Slayton, Lynzie
Luster, Luke Luster. Six great-grandchildren:
Cameron Nichols, Kiara McCain, Jessilyn McCain,
Syrenity Cronin, Kymani Jackson, Ragain McCain. |
She was preceded in death by her husband, William;
parents; one brother: Butch Cook and one sister:
Shirley Napier.
Following graduation from Decatur Eisenhower High
School, Patricia attended the Flamingo Beauty
School. She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Memorials may be made to her family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home.
