Illinois Historic Preservation Agency Board of Trustees
“I am extremely grateful to the members of the Study Panel for their
hard work on a topic that is both complex and important.
“We needed guidance from an independent group of experts on library
and museum operations, and now we have it. The panel’s unanimous
findings deserve serious consideration from anyone seeking to make
the most of Illinois’ wonderful historic resources, particularly the
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
“The Board of Trustees will read the report carefully, discuss it at
our next meeting and report to the governor. We trust that he and
the General Assembly will pay close attention to the findings before
considering any legislative options.”
