Obituary
Atlanta- Mary E. Bailey, 90, of Hoopeston formerly
Atlanta and McLean passed away on Tuesday, January
6, 2015 at Heritage Health Center in Hoopston.
A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held on
Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St.
Mary's Catholic Church in Atlanta with Rev. John
Pham officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the
service at the church.
Burial will be in the Funks Grove Cemetery rural
McLean.
Mary E. Bailey was born on May 7, 1924 in
Logansport, Indiana the daughter of George and Gena
Christiansen Minneman. She was united in marriage on
May 12, 1943 in Hoopston to Thomas W. Bailey. He
preceded her in death on March 6, 1993.
Surviving Mary are her children: Paul Bailey of
Tyler, Tx., Sandra Frerichs Morgan of Milford,
Teresa (Michael)Mason of Gravois Mills, Mo., Ann
Bailey of Normal, Madonna (Bill) Alexander of
Chicago, one brother: George (Joan) Minneman of
Daniel, Wy., one daughter-in-law : Nancy Bailey of
Bloomington. thirteen grandchildren , thirteen great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. |
She was preceded in death her husband Tom Bailey,
one son: Gregory, and her parents.
Mary was a member of the Atlanta Women's Club, Mt.
Hope Ladies Aid, St.Mary's Catholic Church and the
Alter and Rosary Society.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church, Boy's
Town or charity of donor's choice.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
