In the New Year letter it explains that Dr. Ron Pierce has retired
and that veterinarians and staff of Greenhaven Animal Clinic of San
Jose would continue the practice located on Lincoln's west side at
979 1579 Fifth Street Road.
Greenhaven was established in 1964 and offers diverse small and
large animal services. Several of Greenhaven's veterinarians and
staff have joined with staff of Best Friends to continue the care of
animals in the Lincoln office.
New staff and veterinarians are briefly introduced and it was noted
that most of the veterinarians grew up in Logan County, and several
currently live in Lincoln.
The letter also addresses some of the added benefits to pet owners
such as -- opening an hour earlier at 7 a.m. weekdays, increased and
faster radiology services, a credit program that offers limited-time
zero interest; and more diversity of staff and administration for
continued quality care and increased flexibility of services.

Dear Friends,
As we start off the new year, we have had a few changes at the
clinic. Dr. Pierce has decided to retire after 42 years to spend
more time with his family and grandchildren. He will be sorely
missed by all! Dr. Lara has decided not to purchase the practice and
has left to seek other adventures in life. Good luck, Dr. Lara!
Since Dr. Lara did not wish to pursue purchasing the clinic, Dr.
Pierce then sought out Greenhaven Animal Clinic to continue the
caring and compassionate service that everyone has come to expect.
Greenhaven is an AAHA certified hospital, which is the organization
that sets the standard in veterinary care. In fact, only about 3,500
animal hospitals in America and Canada hold this honor. Greenhaven
is also a silver certified feline practice from AAFP. Since the
purchase, we have been working very hard to update and organize the
clinic. Most of the staff have stayed including Vicki, Shay and
Heather. We have also gained a few new faces including Jessica at
the front desk and Tina our new practice manager and Certified
Veterinary Technician with over 16 years of experience.
We have four doctors who will be
working at the clinic. They are Dr. Bill Armbruster, Dr. George
Eales, Dr. Jason Wrage, and Dr. Erika Eigenbrod. Dr. Bill is born
and raised in Logan County and has been with Greenhaven for over 26
years. Dr. George is from the St. Louis area and has been with
Greenhaven since 2003. Dr. Jason Wrage is from Emden and his wife
Elizabeth hails from Chestnut. Dr. Erika, the newest member of our
team, graduated high school from Illini Central. Three of the four
doctors now reside in Lincoln. All four have vast amounts of
experience in small animal medicine and are eager to meet you.

We have updated our radiology
services with digital x-rays. This will allow us to provide you with
more diagnostic x-rays while shortening the amount of time it takes
to get films back. This will also provide us with direct access to
board certified radiologists if needed to further review the films.
We still have in-house diagnostics including ultrasound, endoscopy
and hematology.
We have extended our weekday hours so now we are able to begin to
serve you at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon on
Saturdays. We also have convenient drop off appointments available.
We still provide after hour services for any emergency needs you may
have.
We also now have a new option for financing which is Care Credit. It
is a credit card that allows deferred interest for 6 months. It is
accepted at veterinary clinics, dentist offices and chiropractors.
