Obituary
LATHAM - Eldon L. “Doc” Huber, 91, of Lincoln
formerly of Latham passed away at 3:58 a.m. Thursday
January 8, 2015 at Timber Creek Village Assisted
Living in Lincoln.
Doc was born on December 6, 1923 in Easton, son of
Clyde E. and Lela Hovey Huber. He married Elizabeth
L. Hawks on August 17, 1950. She survives.
He is also survived by two nieces, Brenda (Mike)
McCuskey of Lacon and Karen (Rick) Hamm of Rome and
one nephew Stewart Miller of Sun City, AZ. He was
preceded in death by his parents, one brother Arvin
Huber and one nephew Bobby Huber.

Doc retired from the Illinois Central Railroad and
also worked for the Latham Grain Elevator. He
proudly served his country in the United States Navy
during WWII.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family
burial will be at a later date at Easton Cemetery in
Easton. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt.
Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
