one-year deal for a player who filed for arbitration, topping
right-hander Max Scherzer's $15,525,000 agreement with the Tigers
last year. Price, 29, was traded from the Tampa Bay Rays to the
Tigers at July's trade deadline. He had previously spent his entire
career with the Rays, winning the Cy Young Award in 2012. In 2014,
Price went 15-12 with a 3.26 ERA and a league-leading 271 strikeouts
in 248 1/3 innings, including a 4-4 mark with a 3.59 ERA in 11
starts for Detroit. He is 86-51 with a 3.21 ERA in seven MLB
seasons.

regular season. He hit .292 during the postseason but just .188 in
the World Series against San Francisco.

Heroes, is trying to become the first position player to make the
jump from the Korean Baseball Organization to the major leagues.
