Lady Toppers roll over Decatur Christian

[January 20, 2015]  MOUNT PULASKI - It was raining threes Monday night in Mount Pulaski at the Ed Butkovich Gymnasium. The Lady Toppers connected from long distance for nine 3-pointers en route to a 71-30 victory over Decatur Christian.

Lilly Pickett led the scoring at the half with 11 points as the Lady Toppers dominated Decatur Christian 42-16. Mount Pulaski extended that lead to 58-22 at the end of the third quarter on a buzzer-beater from beyond the arc by senior Caroline Huff. The Lady Toppers continued to roll in the fourth quarter, getting four points apiece from Hailey Moore and Lizzie Ford, who finished with 10 points.

It was definitely the best offensive effort by the Lady Toppers all season as eight players contributed to the high scoring.

Mount Pulaski improves to 5-16 on the season.

The Lady Toppers travel to Athens Friday night to take on the Warriors.
