[January 22, 2015]  My take on the political speech masked by the President as the SOTU is that the President continues to be true to his totally consistent beliefs that America is broken and he is the answer to all our problems. He is a tax and spend politician whose worldview is to make dependents of citizens around the world, especially in this country, and have the ruling class take over control of everything. He is for big government, high taxes, destruction of the "rich" (investors), destruction of the middle class and control of the poorest among us. His policies and strangle-hold regulations have done more to destroy this economy than anyone will ever know.

His spending has exceeded the total amount of all administrations (Presidents) combined in our history. We are on the brink of collapse economically, continue to have unemployment out of control, and are experiencing inflationary prices in retail all across the country. Anyone who shops at any grocery store notices the inflationary prices in both the higher cost and the decrease in product for the same or higher prices.

The labor force has shrunk during the past six years and statistically caused the appearance of lowering the unemployment rate to under six percent. In reality, the labor force is much smaller than it was six years ago because people have dropped out of the designated "active looking" for a job. The dependency rolls have grown and the unemployment rates seemingly have dropped...they have not. The rate is closer to 9.5 or 10 percent if it was measured with the same factors as it was when he entered office. For certain ethnic groups and certain locations in America, the unemployment rates are in double digits.

My take is that people have gone beyond anger; that was demonstrated last November when the Congress and many governorships turned republican. Now, people are afraid. With not one mention of the dozens of wars being waged by radicalized Islamic terrorists, we see the President turning loose terrorists from Gitmo, his Department of Justice turning loose prisoners with early outs convicted as terrorists who worked closely with the highest leaders of terror. People are afraid of what he is doing letting the borders remain open for the entry of tens of thousands of people who will stand with him if any situation in the future requires him to declare Martial Law.

[to top of second column]

People are afraid of his appointments of so many Muslims in his inner office. They are afraid of his immigration policies and executive orders relieving illegal immigrants of the illegal status and offering them positions in government. In terms of the greatest threat to national security the President points to a 1/400th of one degree Fahrenheit variance in atmospheric temperature and calls it "climate change" and yet, fails even to mention radicalized Islamic terrorists such as ISIL or ISIS or Al Qaeda who are killing people around the world by the thousands and have vowed to fly their flag over the White House. Indeed, even as he was speaking terrorists from Al Qaeda were attacking the capital in Yemen. His assertions during the SOTU speech regarding priorities of the greatest threat to national security was a scary pronouncement.

I am afraid of the next two years. His speech was defiant, aggressive, filled with half-truths, picking a fight with the republicans, and spitting in the face of most Americans. I think we are in for a very tumultuous two years with our lame duck President.
