Obituary
Virgil Parkins, 76, of Lincoln, passed away January
22, 2015 at his home.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January
28, 2015 at 5:30 PM at CTF Illinois, 1415 4th
Street, Lincoln. Paul Boatman will officiate the
service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Holland
Barry & Bennett Funeral Home has been entrusted with
his care.
Virgil was born April 4, 1938 in Qunicy, IL., the
son of Victor and Mary Parkins. He attended Faith
Lutheran Church. Virgil lived at Lincoln
Developmental Center from 1943-2002 and has lived at
CTF Illinois since 2002. He enjoyed sewing, smoking
his pipe, and loved his cat, Sassy. He will be loved
and missed by his family at home and the staff of
CTF Illinois. |
He was preceded in death by his parents and one
sister.
Memorial donations may be made to Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
