Obituary
Lincoln- Allen R. Hoffert, 72, of Lincoln, passed
away at 11:45 p.m. January 23, 2015 at Memorial
Medical Center, Springfield.
Allen was born February 4, 1942, the son of Robert
Ernest and Verniece Liesman Hoffert. He married
Odette Turner on November 3, 1962 in Lincoln, IL.
She has since preceded him in death.
Surviving Allen are his children, Lisa (Jon) Sall of
Naperville, Gregory (Christine) Hoffert of Lincoln,
and Robert (Vicki) Hoffert of Lincoln; His Mother,
Verniece Hoffert; His siblings, Roberta (Darrell)
Wibben of Lincoln, Don (Karen) Hoffert of Lincoln,
Joyce (Steve) Geary of Lincoln, and Darwin (Beth)
Hoffert of Lincoln; His grandchildren; Kaylyn
Hoffert, Autumn Hoffert, and Alex Hoffert.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert; and
his Wife Odette.

Allen enjoyed watching basketball and NASCAR. He
especially loved to watch his grandchildren playing
volleyball, basketball and baseball. Allen also
enjoyed spending time playing golf. Above all else,
Allen loved his family; he will be sorely missed by
anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic
Church on Friday January 30, 2015 at 10:00am with
Rev. Jeffery Laible officiating. A visitation will
be held at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln on Thursday January 29, 2015 from
4:00-7:00pm. Burial will take place after the
service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorial
donations may be made in Allen’s name to The
American Heart Association or The American Cancer
Society.
