Here
we are in 2015 and we all know that over two years ago there were
four Americans who were killed, murdered actually, in Benghazi. Yet
for the past two years we have seen so much lying, distractions from
the truth, attempted cover-ups, and smokescreens that serve to hide
the truth. The Congressional Select Committee chaired by
Representative Trey Gowdy is now under attack from the democrats to
force him to shut down the Select Committee and move on from his
position to uncover the truth about what happened and why it
happened. |
It is very difficult not to notice
how this President's Administration
works. An issue like Benghazi opens
up and becomes a national issue with
the media, at least the conservative
media, bringing to light all the
facts that can be gathered. The
Administration then moves toward
blocking the attempts for the rest
of the country to find out about the
particulars regarding the incident.
The liberal media either ignores the
issue altogether, or begins to
attack someone or something
completely opposite of the story
that is running about the incident.
After two or three news cycles on
the issue, another issue emerges
that knocks the first issue off the
center of attention. After a few
days the Administration moves on, as
does the liberal press. At that
point the new scandal or issue
completely covers the previous
unresolved issue and the news cycles
move on. The Administration at that
point has buried the issue and
essentially counts it as resolved.
That is exactly what the
Administration did with the Benghazi
case. It is clear now that the
democrats involved with the case are
trying to shut down the hearings and
destroy Representative Trey Gowdy.
The push is to try to keep this from
coming to light again so they can
protect their presumptive
Presidential candidate, Hillary
Clinton. The more Representative
Gowdy tries to pressure the White
House to provide the relevant
material to discover the truth, the
greater the pressure from the
Administration to shut down the
committee.
[to top of second column] |
Ms. Clinton testified a year or more ago where she said, "What
difference now does it make?" Well, what difference does it make to
her? If she becomes the President of the United States is she going
to be in favor of stripping the security from American Embassies and
Consulates in hostile countries? What is her position on supporting
ambassadors who repeatedly ask for more resources to provide
security for the diplomats and their families? What is her position
on telling lies to families of slain loved ones as their bodies are
being met back on American soil? If Ms. Clinton becomes President,
what is her position on being available to her Secretary of State to
receive vital information during a terror attack where diplomats are
being murdered in foreign countries? What is her position on having
the military personnel who could provide help in those instances
being told to "stand down" instead of completing the deployment to
provide the help and cover?
Americans should not let this one go. The Select Committee should
continue to move forward to find the answers those family members of
the slain Americans should have. The country needs to know where the
government leaders stand on the issue of protecting American
citizens against the onslaught of the terror attacks that seem to be
increasing around the world. Each time the Administration lets one
of these issues go it sends a signal around the world to other
Benghazi-type terrorists that they have a free pass to do what they
want to Americans.
Bottom line: The people of the United States need to hold the
government officials accountable regardless of the political fallout
it may cause. We need not protect those whose aspirations are to
hold high office. If their attitudes and actions demonstrate they
are not fit to hold those offices they should not be nominated nor
elected.
