Obituary
Louise M. Camel, 91, of Lincoln passed away at 3:35
a.m. January 24, 2015 at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln.
Louise was born July 16, 1923 in Broadwell, IL the
daughter of Fred and Helen Brown McGee. She married
James W. “Jim” Camel November 9, 1947 in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death October 29, 1985.
Louise is survived by two sisters: Carol (Gene)
Kodatt of Morton, IL and Joyce Keyser of N.
Hollywood, CA; one sister-in-law, Joyce Camel of
Lincoln ; five nieces: Helen, Linda, Judith, Manda, and Paige; three nephews: Gary, Steve, Bruce
and Jimmy. She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband, two brothers: Glenn and Clyde, four sisters
Marian, Helen, Ruth, and Nellie Maude, one nephew
Frank Hinman Jr, and one infant son Baby Camel; Two
beloved dogs: Sarge and Ashley. |
She was owner/bookkeeper of Leslie’s Shoe Store in
Lincoln. She was affiliated with Lincoln Christian
Church.
Private family services will be held at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery. Memorials
may be given in her name to Alzheimer’s Research
Association.
