LINCOLN - On December 19, 2014 the
Chamber’s Board of Directors approved a membership structure that
will offer greater value and benefit for, not only current members
but, all business in Logan County. Since the beginning of the
unified organization efforts, the Chamber of Commerce and its
membership committee has worked diligently to create a membership
structure that is all inclusive and offers a price point for every
business at every stage. Businesses now have the option to choose
between six different levels based on their business needs. Tiers
range from FREE and up, with a different set of benefits based on
business’ level of investment.

Over the last several years, chambers around the country have
been switching from the “fair share” model of membership (paying per
employee) to a tiered structure. The Chamber’s new structure offers
members flexibility, freedom and most of all, value. The
Lincoln/Logan County Chamber saw it as a priority to create a
membership structure that made it possible to include all businesses
within Logan County. It is important now that the Chamber is under
the Logan County Alliance umbrella with the Logan County Tourism
Bureau, and also offering economic development services for the City
of Lincoln, that membership not only fit all business budgets, but
also their needs. Andi Hake, Executive Director of the Logan County
Alliance, says “with the new membership structure we are now able to
offer more value to our members.”
The Chamber is looking to better serve all of Logan County, by
offering this FREE option, businesses now have the opportunity to
test the waters with little to no risk. The more members the Chamber
has the stronger the organization is and the more those members
utilize the services, the more valuable a Chamber becomes. Hake,
says “we are looking for partners in our businesses that want to
invest in the community. There is strength in numbers.”
“To my knowledge no other chamber is offering a completely free
membership option open to any business. Logan County is on the
cutting edge with this change.”, says Nicole Cox, Associate Director
of the Chamber.
