The public is invited to Camp Griesheim's Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, September 15 at 5 p.m. in their main facility in Atlanta, Illinois.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.

St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln is sponsoring a Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the church's parking lot, at the corner of Eighth and Maple streets.

The public is invited. All ages are welcome to join in the games, snacks, songs, stories and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all for free.

For answers to questions about the event, call the church office, 732-6957.

The carnival is sponsored by the St. John Christian Education Ministry.

 SPONSOR: Logan County Love
 WHO: Open to everyone
 DETAILS: Logan County Love will once again provide a free meal to anyone wishing to join. If you are interested, please stop by and introduce yourself as the group would love to see everyone in the community. Come hungry and leave fulfilled. For this month, the meal will include chicken and noodles. If you are unable to drive but would like a meal, call the church, 217-732-6957, between 5 and 6 pm.

VBS

Elkhart Christian Church

113 Gillett Street in Elkhart

will be hosting a VBS Kick-off on Saturday,
July 18th at Elkhart Community Park

from 5pm to 8pm.

There will be free food, games, a dunk tank, a bounce house, face painting, a pie eating contest at 7pm, and Dr. Seuss movie, "Horton Hears a Who' that starts at 8pm.

Please bring lawn chairs or blankets for the movie.
Concessions provided.
 
VBS begins July 27-31 for ages 4 through High School. Bring a friend.

8 to 5 on Friday and 8 to 1 on Saturday

Before long it will again be time to think of those things needed to start another school year. A great place to look for those needed items at bargain prices is the annual Rummage and Goodie Sale at the Atlanta United Methodist Church. The church is handicapped accessible. Many items will be priced at 50 cents each, and on Saturday, there will be "bag" specials. A home made goodie sale will be held at the same time. Proceeds from the sales will be used by the Atlanta United Methodist Women for missions, both local and other.

Saturday Service starts at 5pm.
It is casual. All songs and responses are projected on a screen in the front of the church. Accompaniment is with piano and a guitar.
The first Saturday of every month is followed by a potluck.
