[July 16, 2015]  LINCOLN - Blue Room - Logan County Safety Complex March 5, 2015

Logan County Ambulance Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth; Bob Farmer; Gene Rohlfs; Emily Davenport; David Blankenship; Scott Schaffenacker
Guests: Steve Siltman

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Schaffenacker, to approve the minutes from February 5, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Quarterly Budget Report:
Mr. Siltman presented the quarterly budget report.

Call Report:
Mr. Siltman presented the February call report. There were 367 calls in February. The volume for the year was 1,193 calls.

Vehicle Status Report:
Mr. Siltman reported both 2011 vehicles have stress fractures in the boxes, the manufacturer asked that both vehicles be sent back to Florida for repairs. The repairs are at no cost to the county. Both vehicles are covered under warranty.

Mr. Siltman has a 2012 vehicle in Springfield for repairs on electrical parts. He hopes to have the vehicle back before the weekend. Mr. Siltman is only down one vehicle at this time because he was given a loaner.

Old Business: Nothing to report.

New Business:

Mr. Siltman reported he went to a class at Memorial to certify as a level 3 critical care transport provider.

Mr. Siltman reported he has an old vehicle that he thought about selling on eBay but now he is thinking about holding on to the vehicle.

A motion was made by Mr. Blankenship, seconded by Mr. Farmer, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:48 pm.

Logan County Coroner Meeting

Present: Rick Aylesworth; Bob Farmer; Dave Blankenship; Emily Davenport; Gene Rohlfs; Scott Schaffenacker

Guests: Bob Thomas; Doug Brooks

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:49 pm.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Schaffenacker, to approve the minutes from February 5, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Rohlfs, seconded by Mr. Blankenship, to approve the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

Old Business:
Mr. Thomas presented the February call report. There were 13 deaths, with one requiring autopsy.

New Business:
Mr. Thomas reported the van he purchased from Peasley Funeral Home has the radio installed and is supplied and in service.

Mr. Thomas reported Mr. Sprague is attending the Crime Scene Investigation Course this month. The course is for one week. Mr. Sprague plans to drive to the class everyday so no lodging expense for the class.

Mr. Thomas reported he talked to Mr. Ruben and Mrs. Dugan about the budget amendment for the transport expenses. Mr. Thomas will need to take $5,000 from the Coroner Autopsy Charges and move the money to Coroner Deputy Salaries.

Mr. Thomas reported Coroner's Office is going to get a vehicle from the Sheriffs Department in the near future.

Mr. Thomas presented the Summary of Expenses.

A motion was made by Mr. Schaffenacker, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:57 pm.

Logan County EMA Meeting

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 7:58 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs to approve the minutes from February 5, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Mr. Storer presented the February, 2015 call report.

2016 Full-Scale Exercise:
Mr. Fulscher is getting ready for the 2016 Full-Scale Exercise. There are 8 counties involved in this exercise. There will be a table top this year.

Air Conditioner-Server Room:
Mr. Fulscher went online and found two roll away air conditioners for the server room. Mr. Fulscher will still have a new air conditioner installed in the server room. He will only use the portable air conditioners when temperatures are too cold for the central air to run. The air conditioners cost $499 each and grant money will cover the expense.

Kitchen-Update:
Mr. Fulscher reported everything is costing EMA much less than budgeted for.

Mr. Fulscher reported he sat in on some meetings about 911surcharge funding. He was invited back for more meetings next week.

Mr. Caruthers reported the office has started the application process to get grant money for commodities flow study.

Mr. Storer reported last month he submitted the rewrites to the Logan County Emergency Operational Plan. Last week it was approved.

A motion was made by Mr. Farmer, seconded by Mr. Schaffenacker, to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Blankenship, seconded by Mr. Farmer to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:17 pm.

Logan County Sheriff's Meeting

Mr. Aylesworth called the meeting to order at 8:18 pm.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs, to approve the minutes from February 5, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.
 


Old Business:

New Vehicles:
Mr. Nichols reported the other day they took lights out of the old Dodge and put in a new vehicle. Mr. Nichols went to Greenfield, IL last week to Morrow Brothers Ford so he could visualize what the new squad cars would look like. Mr. Nichols plans to work with Morrow Brothers to get the lights for the squad cars.

New Business:
Mr. Nichols reported there is a bad thermostat in the jail. Derek has been working on this issue.

Sheriff's Report:
Mr. Nichols reported he has one deputy that is about to graduate from the academy.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Rohlfs, to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mrs. Davenport, seconded by Mr. Blankenship, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:27 pm.
