[July 16, 2015]  USA Basketball will invite 41 players to its minicamp next month in Las Vegas to begin the process of determining the roster for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

According to an ESPN report Wednesday, joining the 34 players already on the men's national team roster will be Harrison Barnes, Trey Burke, Jimmy Butler, Mike Conley, Draymond Green, Tobias Harris and Victor Oladipo.

The camp will take place Aug. 11-13. An all-star game is scheduled for Aug. 13.

Players currently on the USA Basketball roster are LaMarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony, Bradley Beal, Tyson Chandler, DeMarcus Cousins, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, DeMar DeRozan, Andre Drummond, Kevin Durant, Kenneth Faried, Rudy Gay, Paul George, Blake Griffin, James Harden, Gordon Hayward, Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Kyle Korver, David Lee, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Kevin Love, Paul Millsap, Chandler Parsons, Chris Paul, Mason Plumlee, Derrick Rose, Klay Thompson, John Wall, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.

There's also a possibility that past Olympians Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat could be added, ESPN reported.

George, Irving, Love and Durant are recovering from injuries and not expected to participate in non-contract practices next month.

USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski face the daunting task of whittling the roster to 12 players by next year for the Games in Rio de Janeiro.

"It's going to be a very difficult team to pick and get down to 12," Colangelo told ESPN.com. "So we need to have them there because we need to find out where we are with everyone."
