goals led all Flyers defensemen and he set career highs with four

The Washington Capitals signed center Zach Sill to a one-year,
two-way contract and right winger Chris Brown to a two-year, two-way
deal.
Sill, 27, played in 63 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and
Toronto Maple Leafs last season, recording one goal and three
assists. Sill has earned 73 points (33 goals) in 277 American Hockey
League games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Brown, 24, has two goals and one assist in 22 career NHL games with
the Capitals and the Arizona Coyotes. Last season he had 17 goals
and 11 assists in 64 games for Hershey in the AHL.

The Anaheim Ducks signed veteran defenseman Shane O'Brien to a
one-year contract.
The Ducks also signed centers Chris Wagner and Michael Sgarbossa to
one-year contracts and signed second-round center Julius Nattinen to
a three-year, entry-level contract.
O'Brien, 31, has recorded 92 points (13 goals) in 537 NHL games with
the Ducks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vancouver Canucks, Nashville
Predators, Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers.

The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Mikhail Grigorenko to a
one-year contract.
The Avalanche also signed forward Andrew Agozzino to a one-year
contract and defenseman Mat Clark to a two-year deal reportedly
worth $600,000 a year.
Grigorenko, who was a restricted free agent, was acquired from the
Buffalo Sabres in a deal that also netted defenseman Nikita Zadorov,
forward J.T. Compher and a second-round pick in return for forwards
Jamie McGinn and Ryan O'Reilly.

The Edmonton Oilers and forward Tyler Pitlick agreed to terms on a
one-year contract.
Pitlick, 23, played in 17 games for Edmonton last season, scoring
two goals. He also had nine points (three goals) in 14 games with

The Los Angeles Kings re-signed five restricted free agents: forward
Nick Shore and defenseman Vincent LoVerde each signed two-year
deals, while Jordan Weal, Andrew Crescenzi and Nic Dowd signed for
one year.
Shore, 23, made his NHL debut last season. In 34 games with the
Kings, he tallied seven points and 10 penalty minutes.

Defenseman Taylor Aronson signed a one-year, two-way contract with
the Nashville Predators worth $605,000 at the NHL level and $65,000
at the AHL level.
Aronson, 23, tied for 12th among AHL defensemen in assists (29)
during his first full season at the level in 2014-15.

Nashville center Mike Ribeiro has settled a civil lawsuit filed by
his former nanny, who alleged that he sexually assaulted her in
2012.
The terms of the settlement were not revealed.
The Predators, who re-signed the 35-year-old Ribeiro to a two-year,
$7 million deal on July 1, said: "The organization understands Mike
Ribeiro has resolved his civil case. We are pleased that Mike and
his family can focus on their future and we will have no further
