[July 21, 2015]  LINCOLN - Blue Room – Logan County Safety Complex April 8, 2015

Present: Scott Schaffenacker; Kevin Bateman; Andy Anderson; David Hepler; Jan Schumacher
Absent: Emily Davenport
Guests: Julie Parker

Mr. Schaffenacker called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Bateman to approve the minutes from March 11, 2015 as printed. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Mr. Schaffenacker received a bid from a place here in town for the pea gravel. The bid came in at $1, 650 for 150 ton. The dimension that needs the pea gravel is 100Ft by 100ft, 3 inches thick. Mr. Schaffenacker will make this motion on Thursday night. The committee will pay for the pea gravel out of Building repair and maintenance 601-00-53027.
 


New Business:

2015-2016 Contracts:
A motion was made by Mrs. Schumacher, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to offer contracts for Animal Control at the same rates as last year.

Administrator/Warden’s report:
Mrs. Parker reported there have been concerns with hours at Animal Control on Saturday. Three people work on Saturday morning but two leave at noon and one stays until 3p.m. Mrs. Parker feels two people should stay until 3p.m. Mrs. Parker does not feel staying open to 3p.m on Saturday is worth it.

Mr. Bateman does not feel hours is a problem, its staffing.

Mr. Anderson is in favor of keeping a second person on, on Saturday.

Mrs. Parker will be hiring someone else at Animal Control. Mrs. Parker reported on problems with a call on Saturday about an injured dog.

Mrs. Parker will do research on if she needs to ask for a budget adjustment to hire someone full time.

Mrs. Parker reported she recycled cans and received $955.60. The bin is filled again. Mrs. Parker will inquire about people on community service can buy food and give to the food pantry and receive one hour of community service.

Mrs. Parker would like to call and see if people on community service can buy and donate items to Animal Control.

Mrs. Parker would need rubber gloves, bleach, paper towels, etc.

Mrs. Parker reported she had two Great Danes that came into her building with illness. The vets are looking into this illness. Nothing further to report.

Budget: No concerns at this time.

Public Comments:
Mrs. Parker will place the ad in the paper this week to hire an employee.

A motion was made by Mr. Hepler, seconded by Mr. Anderson to pay the bills as presented for payment. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Hepler, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
