							Obituary 
							 
							LINCOLN-Robert Frederick “Fred” Babbs, 54, of 
							Lincoln passed away at his home at 3:14 a.m. July 
							17, 2015 surrounded by his family. 
							 
							Fred was born January 2, 1961 in Lincoln, the son of 
							James H. and Martha Tracy Babbs. He married Deborah 
							Milner June 29, 1985 in Lincoln. She survives in 
							Lincoln. His mother, Martha Leistner and companion, 
							Steven Evans of Mount Pulaski survives. 
							 
							Fred is also survived by his daughter: RaJean (Mark) 
							Hoffman of Lincoln; two sons: Robert Babbs Jr. of 
							Emden; Darrin L. (Tabitha) Babbs II of Lincoln; 
							grandchildren: Eric Hoffman; Alyssa Hoffman; RaLynn 
							Babbs, Korynn Hoffman; Claidyn Bottoms; JozaLynn 
							Babbs; and Faye Rose Kirston Babbs; three brothers: 
							Donald (Cindy) Babbs of Hubert, NC; James A. Babbs 
							of Lincoln; Jon (Melissa) Leistner of Champaign and 
							one sister: Barbara Babbs of Howell, MI; several 
							nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 
							father; Step father, Erwin Leistner; daughter, 
							Rachelle Babbs and brother, Darrin L. Babbs.  | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							Fred was an assembler at Eaton Corporation and a 
							“shade tree” mechanic, jack of all trades. He was a 
							member of the Redneck Mudslingers and Sportsman Club 
							of Lincoln. Fred thoroughly enjoyed horseback 
							riding, hunting, fishing, mudslinging and loved 
							being a Grandpa. 
							He enjoyed gardening and all of his animals. 
							 
							Services for Fred will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, 
							July 21, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral 
							Home, Lincoln with Ron Otto officiating. Burial will 
							follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 
							Monday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral 
							home.  
							 
							Memorials may be given in his name to the family or 
							to donor’s choice.
