			 Angels 11, Red Sox 1, (first game) 
			 
			The Los Angeles Angels scored seven runs in the second inning and 
			coasted to an 11-1 win over the Boston Red Sox in the first game of 
			a doubleheader at Angel Stadium. 
			 
			The Angels scored all seven runs in the span of just eight pitches 
			thrown by Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez (5-3). 
			 
			The Angels' onslaught included a two-run single by Johnny 
			Giavotella, a two-run homer by Kole Calhoun and a solo homer by 
			Albert Pujols. 
			 
			David Freese hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning.

			Angels 7, Red Sox 3, (second game) 
			 
			Albert Pujols hit two home runs in the second game of the 
			doubleheader to lead the Angels to a victory over the Red Sox. 
			 
			Now the league leader with 29 homers, Pujols went 4-for-7 with the 
			three homers and four RBIs in the two games.

			Nationals 7, Mets 2 
			 
			Left-handed starter Gio Gonzalez allowed two runs in six innings as 
			the Washington Nationals beat the New York Mets. 
			 
			Gonzalez (7-4), who gave up six hits and two walks, has now won 
			three of his last four starts.

			Phillies 5, Rays 3 
			 
			David Buchanan ended a personal eight-game losing streak as the 
			Philadelphia Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays. 
			 
			Buchanan (1-5) had not won since beating the Houston Astros on Aug. 
			6, 2014. He went 6-1/3 innings and allowed three runs and six hits 
			while striking out four and walking three.

			Tigers 5, Mariners 4 
			 
			Ian Kinsler blasted two home runs, including a two-run shot in the 
			eighth inning, to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 5-4 win over the 
			Seattle Mariners. 
			 
			The Tigers second baseman also hit a solo shot in the first inning. 
			It was Kinsler's 13th career multi-homer game. 
			 
			Detroit starting pitcher Alfredo Simon gave up four runs on six hits 
			in 5-2/3 innings.

			Braves 7, Dodgers 5 
			 
			Second baseman Jace Peterson had two hits and three RBIs to help the 
			Atlanta Braves defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers. 
			 
			Peterson had a bases-loaded double to drive in two runs in the 
			fourth and singled home another run in the sixth.

			Reds 5, Cubs 4 
			 
			Jay Bruce hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning, 
			one of three Cincinnati homers, as the Reds posted a 5-4 victory 
			over the Chicago Cubs. 
			 
			Left fielder Marlon Byrd and third baseman Todd Frazier also homered 
			for Cincinnati off Cubs starter Clayton Richard.

			Pirates 10, Royals 7 
			 
			Travis Ishikawa had four RBIs while Neil Walker hit a key two-run 
			triple in the eighth inning as the Pittsburgh Pirates held off the 
			Kansas City Royals. 
			 
			AJ Burnett (8-3) picked up the victory, although he allowed six runs 
			on 11 hits, a walk, two hit batters and a balk.

			Rockies 8, Rangers 7 
			 
			The Colorado Rockies gave up an early seven-run lead but beat the 
			Texas Rangers 8-7 on a single by Ben Paulsen with one out in the 
			ninth inning. 
			 
			The Rangers had steadily chipped away at a 7-0 deficit as first 
			baseman Prince Fielder drove in three runs while third baseman 
			Adrian Beltre added two RBIs.

			Diamondbacks 3, Marlins 1 
			 
			David Peralta hit a two-run single in the third inning to lead the 
			Arizona Diamondbacks to a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins. 
			 
			Rubby De La Rosa (7-5) limited the Marlins to five hits and one run 
			in seven innings.

			Padres 4, Giants 2 
			 
			Matt Kemp's two-run homer led the San Diego Padres past the San 
			Francisco Giants 4-2. 
			 
			Kemp's two-run blast in the third was the key blow, while the Padres 
			padded their lead to 4-2 in the sixth when third baseman Yangervis 
			Solarte collected his third single to drive in center fielder Melvin
