							Obituary 
							 
							Eddie Dean Hughes, 66, of Lincoln passed away at his 
							home at 7:01 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015. 
							 
							Eddie was born November 25, 1948 in Danville, the 
							son of Dallas and Louise Holycross Hughes. He is 
							survived by his best friend, Judy Hughes, whom he 
							married on January 20, 1979 in Mount Pulaski. Also 
							surviving is his mother, step children; Brian Munsch 
							of Springfield, Carol (Bb) Utterback of Mount 
							Pulaski, and Kristy (Carl II) Awe of Lincoln, his 
							siblings; Mary Graham of Indiana, Dallas (Curtis) 
							Beasley of Decatur, Marie West of Indiana, Penny 
							Fujawa of Ohio, five grandchildren and one great 
							grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, 
							daughter: Dawn O’Brien and sister: Christine Hughes. 
							 
							Eddie served in the U.S. Marines from 1967-1968. He 
							was a carpenter and a member of the American Legion 
							Post #263 and the Oasis Senior Center. He had also 
							worked for Cyrulik Brothers Construction of Mount 
							Pulaski. Eddie ‘s favorite thing to do was, writing 
							stories, his garden, crafts and going fishing with 
							his grandsons. Eddie was a wonderful person, always 
							had a smile on this face and had a big heart. He 
							would do anything for you if he could.   | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							Eddie chose to be cremated with graveside services 
							at Irish Grove Cemetery at a later date.  
							 
							Memorials may be given to the Lincoln American 
							Legion Post #263 or the Oasis Senior Center. 
							Arrangements were entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
