 Jefferson reached agreement Tuesday with the Cavs on a one-year
contract for the veteran minimum salary for the 2015-16 season.
The 35-year-old Jefferson, who was the No. 13 overall pick in the
2001 NBA Draft, averaged 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds and made 43.5
percent of his three-point shots in 74 games for the Mavericks last
season.
ESPN reported that Mavs owner Mark Cuban received a call from
Jefferson declaring his intentions to sign with the Cavs and avoid
the messy situation that resulted earlier this month from free agent
DeAndre Jordan committing to the Mavericks and then re-signing with
the Los Angeles Clippers.

DeAndre Jordan was the biggest story of NBA free agency, backing out
of a verbal commitment to sign a four-year deal with the Dallas
Mavericks to return to the Los Angeles Clippers.
He posted a video on The Players Tribune, detailing what he
described as nine or 10 days of intense pressure.
"Originally I said yes to the Mavericks because I thought I needed
change -- I thought I wanted change at the time," Jordan said.
"I decided to stay with the Clippers because I've been with this
team for seven years. Being with one team my entire career was
important. I've been with this team since I was 19."

The Denver Nuggets and forward Danilo Gallinari are in the process
of finalizing a two-year contract extension that will pay him an
additional $34 million through the 2017-2018 season, Fox Sports
reported.

The Indiana Pacers re-signed veteran free agent guard Rodney Stuckey
to a reported three-year, $21 million contract.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the film "Hoosiers," the
Pacers plan to wear precise replicas of the Hickory High uniforms
during select games in 2015-16.

San Antonio Spurs forward Manu Ginobili signed a two-year, $5.75
million contract that includes a player option for 2016-17.
Ginobili weighed retirement after each of the past two seasons.

The team did not disclose financial terms of the deal, but multiple
