							Obituary 
							 
							Helen “Bobbie” Park Bates, 90 of Shelbyville 
							formerly of Decatur and Mount Pulaski died on July 
							17th at 7 am at Shelbyville Manor. 
							 
							She was born June 15, 1925 in Decatur, the daughter 
							of Robert A. and Maria Levarnic Park. She married 
							Robert Burnie Moore Jr. in 1943, he passed away in 
							2007. She married David L Reed in Decatur in 1965, 
							he passed away in 1993. She married John Bates Jr. 
							of Mount Pulaski in 1995, he passed away in 2003. 
							She has lived in Texas, California, and Illinois. 
							 
							She was formerly a Dietician, Truck Driver, Truck 
							Escort Driver, and housewife. She was a member of 
							TOPS and The Red Hat Society. 
							Surviving are her brother Richard “Chub” (Joyce) 
							Park of Decatur, daughter, Carol L. Voyles of 
							Leavenworth, KS, son Robert Mark Moore of Decatur; 
							Stepson Roger (Karen) Bates of Mount Pulaski; 
							grandchildren Darla (Paul) Stanford of Shelbyville, 
							Tonya (Tom) Cummings of Mt. Zion, David (Bridgett) 
							Henry of Lansing, Kansas, and Mike (Carol) Henry of 
							Macon, 9 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 
							and 6 great-great grandchildren. She has step 
							grandchildren and plenty of nieces and nephews. She 
							was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 
							brothers, and 2 stepsons.  | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday 
							July 23, 2015 at the Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral 
							Home in Mount Pulaski, with Mark Weber officiating. 
							Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. 
							Burial at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski, will 
							follow the service. Memorials may be made to the 
							Mount Pulaski Phoenix Fire Department, Alzheimer’s 
							Association or the family.
