ATLANTA
- Every year, the Olympia Ministerial Alliance awards scholarships
to area seniors at graduation. The scholarship is named the “Scott
Ewing Memorial Senior Scholarship” in honor of Scott Ewing, a youth
minister from Minier who invested great time and concern in our area
young people. He was tragically killed in an automobile accident in
December of 2004.

This scholarship seeks to honor those graduating seniors from
Olympia High School who exemplify their Christian life and character
at school, their church, within their community, and with their life
goals. This year two students were awarded scholarships of $750
each. It is our hope that these awards will be an encouragement to
these young people as they pursue their future plans.
This scholarship is funded by donations from churches, church
related groups, and individuals in the Olympia area. Without their
help, this scholarship would not be possible.
The Olympia Ministerial Alliance is proud to announce this year’s
$750 award winners are Christopher Geurts and Allison Schuette.
Christopher is the son of Eric and Tami Geurts of Stanford.
Christopher intends to study wildlife biology and management at
either University of Wisconsin or South Dakota State University.
