Lincoln Heritage Museum seeks new director
Ron Keller moves to teaching full-time this fall

[June 02, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln Heritage Museum at Lincoln College is seeking a new director following Ron Keller’s decision to move to teaching full time at the College. Keller had split his time between teaching and directing the Museum since he came to Lincoln College in 2000.

“The Lincoln Heritage Museum has grown both in numbers of visitors and numbers of programs offered since it opened in its new location in April 2014, and needs the attention of a full-time director. After considering all the options, I feel my heart and talents lie more in the classroom,” said Keller of his decision to step down as Museum director.

“Lincoln College and the Lincoln Heritage Museum are looked to both regionally and nationally for many things Lincoln,” commented Keller, “and I look forward to expanding that role for the College even more in the future. I treasure the people I have met and worked alongside in my role as director, and I intend to continue those relationships and partnerships.”

“Lincoln College is proud of the many things the Museum has accomplished under Mr. Keller’s leadership,” said Dr. Gigi Fansler, the College’s vice president for academic affairs. “It has gained national and international recognition, and is a significant resource for the local community and for the Abraham Lincoln scholarly community.”

Anne Moseley, a recipient of the Illinois State Historical Society’s Malkovich Award for Young Museum Professionals, will continue to serve as the Museum’s assistant director.

A search for a new director will commence immediately.
