Leroy Osborn and Julie Pope were united in marriage June 13, 1965
at the Atlanta Christian Church with the Rev. Wilbur Reid Sr.
officiating. Julie is the daughter of Edith and Keith Pope and Leroy
the son of Elmer and Marjorie Osborn.
In their 50 years of marriage, the couple have been farmers in the
Atlanta area. Leroy is also a crop adjuster, and Julie retired in
2011 from the McLean County Auditor’s office where she was the Chief
Deputy Auditor.
The couple raised two children; Daniel (Lori Murphy) Osborn of
Atlanta and Kristopher (Jeff Haydon) Osborn of Kansas City MO. They
have two grandchildren; Derrick (Leah Heitzman) Osborn of Green
Valley, and the late Jared Osborn, and one great-grandchild Claire
Osborn.

In celebration of their anniversary the couple is planning a trip to
Alaska this summer where they will cruise as well as take a land
tour of the state.
