June 15 (The Sports Xchange) - The Montreal Canadiens agreed to
terms on a three-year contract with forward Torrey Mitchell, the
team said Monday.
The team did not reveal the value, but ESPN reported it is worth
$3.6 million.

The Washington Capitals re-signed goaltender Philipp Grubauer to a
two-year, one-way contract.
General manager Brian MacLellan announced Grubauer will earn
$650,000 during the 2015-16 season and $850,000 in 2016-17. Grubauer
would have entered restricted free agency this summer.

The Detroit Red Wings signed center Axel Holmstrom to a three-year
entry-level contract.
Originally drafted by the Red Wings in the seventh round of the 2014
NHL Draft, Holmstrom, 18, skated in 44 games for Skelleftea of the
Swedish Hockey League this season, recording 20 points (10 goals, 10
assists) and four penalty minutes.

The Dallas Stars hired Jeff Reese as goaltending coach.
Previous goaltending coach Mike Valley will remain with the
organization, transitioning to director of goaltending development.

The Stars also signed defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka to a two-year
contract extension.
Jokipakka, 23, made his NHL debut in the 2014-15 season, posting 10
