Manager John Farrell banished Sandoval to the bench after learning
that Sandoval, in his first year in Boston after signing during the
offseason, 'liked' photos posted by a woman that showed up on his
Instagram account during a 5-2 loss to the Braves.
"I let my teammates down. Ain't going to happen no more, so I
learned from that," Sandoval said. "I made a mistake. I learned from
that. I'm a human being. I made a mistake, so I apologize to my
teammates, to the team, to the organization, the fans' support.
"This is a thing that I pushed the button at the wrong time. I hit a
'like.'"

Bourn was punished by Major League Baseball for making contact with
umpire Phil Cuzzi before the bottom of the fourth inning of the
Indians' game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Tuesday.
Bourn was ejected during the altercation.

Houston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow denies using the same
passwords he had while with the St. Louis Cardinals after becoming
GM in Houston in 2011.
Luhnow and the Astros are claiming to be victims of a digital data
breach, which is the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation
centered on possible violations by former colleagues with the
Cardinals.
Luhnow said it's "absolutely false" that the Cardinals would have
known his login credentials to the sensitive data, which entailed
scouting reports, trade discussions and other evaluations.

Thursday by the commissioner's office.
Aquino and Escanio are right-handers pitching for the Chicago Cubs
in the Dominican Summer League. Ramirez is a right-hander for the
Minnesota Twins' Dominican Summer League squad. (Editing by Larry
