Fitzpatrick is a member of the Illini Elite 14 Black, a 14U
club division team from Bloomington, Illinois. The team had 11
wins and 2 losses while playing at the ESPN Wide World of Sports
and the Orange County Convention
Center in Orlando. The Illini Elite 14 Black team defeated the
2015 National Champions, PVA 14U from Puerto Rico, earlier in
the tournament
during regular pool play by the score of 25-23 and 25-19.
The Bloomington-based squad fought hard against the Crossfire MN
14-1 team, falling 25-20 and 25-16 to the eventual second place
team.
The Illini Elite 14 Black team's astounding 3rd place finish was
out of 133 teams competing from all over the United States.
Congratulations to Abigail Fitzpatrick, who will be a freshman
at Mount Pulaski High School in the fall.
