Tutter was nominated for Employee of the Month by a co-worker who
appreciates her amazing attitude, the great care she provides
patients, and her willingness to help co-workers.
Tutter earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin
University. Her nursing career began in the pediatric intensive care
unit and shortly thereafter she was given the opportunity to be a
pediatric flight nurse.
As a nurse in the emergency department, Tutter’s duties include
providing the best care she can to her patients. As part of the
emergency department staff her role includes providing patient
education regarding their health, administering medication, and
providing comfort. Nurses provide comfort in a variety of ways. It
may be through pain medications, reposition or “just whatever I can
do to make the patient and their families more comfortable”, said
Tutter.
Tutter enjoys her work at ALMH and is proud to be part of a
wonderful team. She says that the staff at ALMH “take a great amount
of pride in providing excellent care to our patients. ALMH is a
great place to work because everyone treats you like family.
Administration does a great job of treating everyone like an
individual and making you feel like you matter,” said Tutter.
