Avalanche 3, Wild 2
Colorado goalie Seymon Varlamov had 29 saves as the Avalanche beat
the Minnesota Wild 3-2.
The Wild, the NHL's hottest team since the All-Star break,
controlled long stretches of play but could not solve Varlamov until
they scored two late goals.
Minnesota fell to Colorado for the first time this season, after
winning all four previous meetings.

Rangers 1, Blackhawks 0 (overtime)
Derick Brassard scored 32 seconds into overtime to lift the New York
Rangers to a 1-0 road win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
New York goaltender Cam Talbot stopped 29 shots for his fifth
shutout of the season and the Rangers (40-17-7) improved to 11-2-3
in the past 16 games.

Bruins 5, Red Wings 3
The Boston Bruins scored a pair of shorthanded goals en route to a
5-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Brad Marchand and Daniel Paille both stole the puck from veteran
center Stephen Weiss before beating goaltender Jonas Gustavsson on
breakaways.

Devils 5, Flyers 2
New Jersey's Adam Henrique scored twice, his first multi-goal game
of the season, and Steve Bernier had three assists as the Devils
earned a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.
It was a result the Flyers (28-26-13) could ill afford, as they
dropped seven points behind Boston with 15 games remaining in the
race for the final playoff spot in the East.

Senators 5, Flames 4 (shootout)
Ottawa let a four-goal lead slip in the third period but came away
with a 5-4 shootout win after defenseman Erik Karlsson scored the
winner in the sixth round.
Trailing 4-0 in the third, the Flames scored four times in a span of
10:46 to send the game into overtime and salvage a valuable point.
The Senators have dropped only one point in their past nine games
and are making a late run for a playoff berth, five points adrift of
eighth-placed Boston.

Hurricanes 7, Oilers 4
Elias Lindholm scored his first career hat-trick as the Carolina
Hurricanes wiped out a three-goal deficit in a 7-4 comeback victory
against the Edmonton Oilers.
The Hurricanes scored six unanswered goals in an 18-minute span that
