- Marvin R. “Red” Jenkins, 79, of Lincoln, passed away at 1:35 P.M.
on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Obituary
Marvin R. “Red” Jenkins, 79, of Lincoln, passed away
at 1:35 p.m.. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Red was born on May 7, 1935 in Manitou, KY, son of
Ural Herbert and Ruby I. Stone Jenkins. He was
united in marriage to Rosita Stover on June 12, 1965
at Germantown Hills. She survives in St. Peters, MO.
Other survivors include his daughters: Michelle
(Chris) Allison of Atlanta; Ryan (Scott) Bradford of
St. Peters, MO; grandchildren: Emily Reiners, Libbie
Reiners, Jesse Reiners, Finn Bradford, Sean
Bradford; great grandchild: Jaxson McMullen;
siblings: Wayne Jenkins of Madisonville, KY; and
Sylvia Mae Gardner of Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
brother: Thomas Jenkins; and his sisters: Wanda
Ipock and Bonnie Outler.
Red served in the U.S. Army and he was stationed in
Germany. He was an owner of Jenkins Insurance Agency
and was a former business agent of the LIUNA. He was
a member of the Jefferson Street Christian Church in
Lincoln. |
Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service
for Red will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 16,
2015 at Jefferson Street Christian Church with Rev.
Henry Johnson officiating. A visitation will be held
from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the
church. Military rites will be accorded by the
Lincoln American Legion Post # 263. Memorials may be
given to the Haitian Christian Outreach.
