Lightning 4, Canadiens 2
The Tampa Bay Lightning jumped out to a three-goal lead before
holding off a stirring comeback attempt to escape with a 4-2 win
over the Montreal Canadiens.
The Lightning (43-21-7) returned to winning ways after giving up a
third-period lead against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, with goalie
Ben Bishop getting 32 saves.
The victory lifted the Lightning into a tie for first place in the
Atlantic Division alongside Montreal (43-20-7).
After Tomas Plekanec pulled a goal back midway through the second,
P.A. Parenteau scored 34 seconds into the third to make it 3-2 but
Steve Stamkos put the game away in the final minutes with his second
goal of the game.
Stamkos now has 39 goals this season.

Capitals 4, Sabres 3 (SO)
Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the only goal of the shootout to lead the
Washington Capitals to a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.
Kuznetsov displayed terrific patience on his winning goal. Skating
slowly towards goal, the forward waited until finding an opening to
the blocker side and beat Lindback with a wrist shot.
Kuznetsov, Curtis Glencross and defenseman Mike Green scored in
regulation for the Capitals (38-23-10). Goalie Braden Holtby made 30
saves.
Johan Larsson, Cody Hodgson and Tyler Ennis scored for the Sabres
(19-43-7), who lost for the seventh game in a row. Goalie Anders
Lindback made 34 saves.

Kings 1, Coyotes 0
Rookie center Andy Andreoff scored his first career goal, and
goaltender Jonathan Quick earned his sixth shutout of the season,
lifting the Los Angeles Kings to a victory over the Arizona Coyotes.

Andreoff scored with 1:05 remaining in the second period on an
assist by center Jordan Nolan and defenseman Brayden McNabb.
The win allowed the Kings (34-22-13), who won for the third time in
four games, to tie the third-place Calgary Flames with 81 points in
the Pacific Division. They are one point back of the second-place
Vancouver Canucks.
Goalie Mike Smith stopped 34 of the 35 attempts as the Coyotes
(21-41-8) have now lost 15 of their last 16 contests.

Oilers 4, Maple Leafs 1
The Edmonton Oilers avenged last month's blowout loss to Toronto by
pounding the Maple Leafs in the rematch.
Benoit Pouliot scored twice and Edmonton (19-39-12) made amends for
their 5-1 defeat at the hands of Toronto in February.
The Leafs (27-38-6) got their lone goal from James van Riemsdyk who
notched his 24th of the season.
