LINCOLN - Friends and family members
recently celebrated the lives of the 58 residents of The Christian
Village who passed away in the last year. The Christian Village held
a Service of Remembrance to recognize residents of both the nursing
home and independent living apartments and garden homes.

As each loved one was remembered, a rose was brought up to the
communion table as a reminder of the individuality and beauty of
that person – as well as a remembrance of the life that Christ
provides, noted Chaplain Ryan Edgecombe.
Words of comfort and hope from Scripture were shared by Ernie
Harvey, a chaplain with Safe Haven Hospice. Special music included
“Under His Wings” and “The Bond of Love”.
