- Donald “Don” L. Buss, 79, of Kenney, passed away at 7:25 p.m.
Saturday, March 21, 2015 at his home with family by his side.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Obituary
Donald “Don” L. Buss, 79, of Kenney, passed away at
7:25 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at his home with
family by his side.
Don was born March 9, 1936 in Lincoln, the son of
John Henry and Ada Apperman Buss. He married Jean
“Lynnette” Downing January 30, 1965 in Lincoln. She
survives in Kenney.
Don is also survived by one daughter: Donnetta
(Doug) Stewart of Lincoln; one son: Jason (Janelle)
Buss of Middletown; two grandchildren: Tara
(Michael) Mesner of Lincoln and Whitney (Fiancé Ben
Rekart ) Haynes of Lincoln; one great grandson,
Garrett Mesner; and one sister: Elizabeth Klockenga
of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents;
brother, Robert; and two sisters, Carole Robinson
and Janice Lolling.
Don was a Fire Fighter for 32 years at Lincoln Fire
Department retiring as Assistant Chief. |
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of
Lincoln Christian Church. Don was a loving husband,
father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Services for Don will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday,
March 26, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln with Ernie Harvey officiating and
Lincoln Fire Fighters rites will be accorded. Burial
will follow in Keyes Cemetery, rural Beason.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00-7:00
p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in
his honor to Safe Haven Hospice or Lincoln Christian
Church.
