2015 at 9:30 p.m. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. |
Visitation:
Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McLean
Christian Church.
Service:
Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the McLean
Christian Church

Obituary
Stanford- Mary E. Witham, 67, of Stanford, passed
away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. at OSF
St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Witham will be held on
Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the McLean
Christian Church with Mr. Tony Billingsley
officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from
4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the McLean Christian
Church.
Burial will be in Brooks Grove Cemetery in rural
Stanford.
Mary Etta Witham was born on October 16, 1947 in
Iuka, Mississippi the daughter of John Hopkins and
Lorena Foster White. She was united in marriage to
Delmar Witham on January 2, 1969 in Springfield. He
preceded her in death on August 29, 2013 in
Stanford.
She is survived by her children: Jennifer (Todd)
Lind of Eureka, Stanley Clayborn (Jennifer) Witham
II of Bloomington. Four brothers: Earl (Sue) White
of Denham Springs, Louisiana , Jim (Susie) White of
McLean, Wayne (Susan) White of Stanford, Bob White
of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two
sisters: Virginia Agnew, Barbara Wilkinson. |
Mary graduated from the Atlanta High School.
She was a member of the Stanford Christian Church
Disciples of Christ and had attended the McLean
Christian Church and Eureka Christian Church.
Mary retired from Illinois State University in 2011.
She worked in the Bone Student Center as an account
tech.
Through the years she enjoyed many crafts from doll
making to oil painting. What she most enjoyed was
spending time with her grandchildren, family and
friends.
Her family would like to thank the nursing staff at
OSF St. Joseph for the care shown to her during her
illness.
Memorials may be made to the Allin Twp Ambulance or
to the American Cancer Society.
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family
with arrangements.
