Waynesville, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the Buffalo Prairie

Obituary
Vernon Lee "Casey" Fletcher, 73, of Camdenton, Mo.,
formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, May 3,
2015, at the Buffalo Prairie Care Center in Buffalo,
Mo.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 9,
2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Cemetery in
Waynesville. Military Rites will be accorded by
Waynesville American Legion Post #1189.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the
Waynesville Legion.
Vernon was born in Canton on September 5, 1941 to
Eli Vernon and Helen Edna Montgomery Fletcher. He
was united in marriage to Elsie Organ and her
children on April 1, 1966. Elsie preceded him in
death on August 27, 2002.
Vernon is survived by six children: Bud (Nancy) Lane
of Fenton, Mo., Georgia (David) Isaac of
Waynesville, Marvin (Babe) Organ of Richmond, Va.,
Nancy (Paul) French of Lincoln, Alan Organ of
Waynesville, and Debbie (Billy) Ballenger of
Waynesville; 12 grandchildren: Heather Lane, Erin
(Travis) Finder, Channen (Rory) Settles, Chad
(Tricia) Isaac, Heidi (Steve) Browne, Andy
Daugherty, Adam (Angel) French, Nathan French,
Derrick Ballenger, Destiny Ballenger, Aaron Organ,
and Ciera Organ; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister:
Wanda Bollinger of Canton; three nieces: Tina
Jenkins of Sunrise Beach, Mo., Monica Butler of
Stover, Mo., and Mona Sandefur of Sunset, Tex.; one
nephew: J.R. Jenkins of Austin, Tex., several
cousins and special friend: Mandy Maples. |
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one great-nephew:
Troy Davis and one great-grandson: Maddox Isaac.
Vernon graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1959. He
served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1959
to 1963 in Vietnam. He was a former member of Waynesville
American Legion Post #1189.
Vernon retired from the Modine Plant in Camdenton in 1996. He
loved camping, bon fires, woodworking, fishing and riding his
Harley.
