LINCOLN
- Judy Monts will be hosting a plant sale at her home, 520 Decatur
Street, Lincoln, on Saturday, May 9th to benefit the Harvest of
Talents for World Hunger.

The local gardener, who has long had a passion for growing
daylilies, has in recent years coupled her love for growing
beautiful flowers with a passion for ministering to the hungry. All
of the profits from the plant sale are donated to the Harvest of
Talents for World Hunger, a ministry of Lincoln Christian Church,
which provides food to meet hunger needs worldwide.
Some twenty varieties of daylilies will be offered at the plant
sale, together with columbines, evening primrose, and widow’s tears.
Each of the hand potted flowers will be sold for $5.00 each, just in
time for Mother’s Day giving.
Looking for something for Mother’s Day that will serve a double
purpose; providing a growing gift for a loved one while providing
food for the hungry; then look no further than the Monts plant sale.
Come early for the best selection. Sale hours are from 8 a.m. to
noon. [Patricia Snyder, harvest of
