Many “E-Waste” items are not permitted in the landfills, and this
program will help to alleviate the disposal problem for local
residents. This program is free of charge and open to residents and
businesses of Minier and surrounding communities.
These are some of the items that will be accepted during the
collection: televisions, computers, monitors, keyboards, electronic
media, cell phones, cameras, calculators, refrigerators, air
conditioners, video gaming systems, small kitchen appliances,
microwaves, batteries, appliances that are intact, and computer
accessories. No cathode ray tube type televisions will be accepted.
The collection point will be staffed by members of the Minier Police
Explorers. This is a free service to the community. Free will
donations will be accepted by the explorers for their upcoming
Illinois Law Enforcement Explorer Conference this summer in
Romeoville, Illinois.
For questions, please contact the Minier Police Department at
309-392-2442.
